The effects of HCCMF on tumors was compared to that of RCF. The results indicated that tumors treated by HCCMF were significantly shrinking. However, tumours treated with RCF didn't show evidence of shrinkage of the tumor.

The tumors in the three groups also showed distinct growth curves. The tumors treated with HCCMF had a significant reduction in size of the tumor after eight weeks. However, tumors which were treated by RCF didn't show shrinkage. The difference was highly significant. The tumours treated with RCF had necrosis that is common in tumors that have been exposed to RCF. It is possible that the necrosis was caused by an absence of oxygen in larger tumours.
